The Behringer TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC500USB is a combination of a two-channel audio interface and a tube microphone preamplifier that alternatively serves as a HiZ instrument input.
The tubes can add harmonic frequencies to the signal, giving it depth and character. Although this technology has been replaced by transistors, many musicians agree that tubes provide a much better sound. The hand-picked 12AX7 tube adds a vintage tube feel to your vocals or guitars and basses in a reliable and very affordable package.
The MIC500USB is ideal for studio and live use. In addition to +48V phantom power, very useful features are available, PAD -20 dB, Low cut, Phase Reverse and Limiter. Accurate monitoring of output levels is provided by an 8 segment LED meter.
Thanks to the USB bus, the MIC500 becomes a handy two-channel audio interface with which you can immediately start recording your ideas or finished tracks. A second line input channel is available and a headphone output is provided for monitoring.
When used as a DI (Direct Injection) box in the studio or on stage, the MIC500USB delivers flawless performance and excellent signal integrity.
To make the most of your new MIC500USB, there are 16 unique preamp settings to cover a wide range of applications - including vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keys and more. Although these presets have been optimized for specific sound sources, feel free to experiment - you may find that recording vocals via the Warm E-GTR setting is ideal for your project. The amazing MIC500USB opens up a whole new and exciting world of creative possibilities!
