Arpeggios are demanding on left hand movement because they involve playing the notes of individual chords melodically. It is also a subject often neglected by bassists, as many mistakenly believe that arpeggios are mainly suitable for aspiring guitar shredders (virtuoso players) like Yngwie Malmsteen. However, the opposite is true, arpeggios are extremely important for mastering the melodic bass line in all musical genres.
