Arturia AudioFuse X8 is a new range of converters that includes two different modules, each capable of expanding your existing sound card with 8 inputs and 8 outputs respectively via an ADAT optical interface.
This concept of separate AD and DA converters is a practical solution that clearly saves you money. You no longer need to purchase a full-featured AD/DA converter if you know you'll only use 8 inputs in the studio anyway (then choose the AudioFuse X8 IN) or vice versa - you need an additional 8 outputs for your gigs or studio monitoring and only reach for the AudioFuse X8 OUT. The best part is that you don't have to decide right away. Buy one module, then the other, both or two of the same. Each transducer features a half-rack chassis and includes couplers to connect the two modules side-by-side, as well as rack-mounting brackets .
The Arturia AudioFuse 8 OUT is a high-end professional eight-channel DA converter that features eight symmetrical line outputs that you can use to connect additional pairs of studio monitors, for modern multi-channel Dolby Atmos monitoring purposes etc., distribute to your PA mixes or CV control your synths etc. The latest generation of 24-bit DACs operates at sample rates up to 96 KHz and with a dynamic range of 120.5 dB and a noise floor of -106 dB will satisfy even the most demanding user. The output impedance is 240 Ohm in symmetrical connection and 120 Ohm in unsymmetrical connection.
Synchronisation of the DAC is possible via Word Clock (with the flexible option of setting the impedance to HiZ or 75 Ohm), ADAT and ADAT SMUX. Via the ADAT optical interface, divided into channels 1-8 and 1-4/5-8, you can distribute a signal of maximum quality (up to 48 kHz, only the first connector can be used for 8 channels) from your main audio interface.
