The Orion Studio Synergy Core is a unique Thunderbolt/USB sound card that includes an extensive package of professional plug-ins and studio effects within its package. The 12-channel sound card features powerful microphone preamps that achieve studio quality, improved transducers, higher dynamics and better noise rejection, making the device suitable for recording and film studios producing professional sound recordings or audiovisual productions. The Word Clock feature brings you flawless real-time synchronization with other devices with near-zero latency. The Premium Upgrade FX library currently features up to 50 Antelope Audio FPGA FX plugins, including classic equalizers, compressors, guitar amps and cabinet models, not to mention studio preamps and reverbs. All of these effects and plugins can now be used in your preferred DAW software along with the AFX2DAW plugin (available on MAC only).

As well as great sound quality and intuitive controls, Orion Studio Synergy Core also includes an AD/DA converter with a dynamic range of up to 124dB, so you can convert old analogue files to modern digital formats, where you can clean them of distracting noise with various filters and plug-ins, and convert them back to their original analogue format so the recording doesn't lose its original patina and feel. The front panel offers four combined inputs for microphones, line equipment and electric instruments with Hi-Z. A clear two-line display then shows you the input signal values, and an intuitive control panel makes it easy to set up your soundcard. Detailed listening is provided by a quartet of independent headphone outputs, where you can mix different values and instruments to each output. The rear panel then extends Orion Studio's flexible connectivity even further, with eight more combo inputs, outputs to other devices, studio monitors, DB25 connectors, USB and last but not least, ADAT and S/PDIF digital ports for connecting other devices via TOSlink fibre-optic cable.

Thanks to the fast Thunderbolt connection, you can also use afx2daw on the Mac platform, implement professional FPGA FX plug-ins directly into your DAW and save and automate their parameters. afx2daw is not included with the card and must be purchased. Discrete 8 Synergy Core can be controlled using macOS, Win and Android apps. For Windows users, Antelope Audio offers a very fast and stable Thunderbolt driver, with which you can get latency well below 1 ms.
