AKG's WMS420 is a wireless system with simple and quick setup that is suitable for a variety of situations - concerts, conferences, lectures, presentations and more. Up to 8 channels are available for transmission.
The kit consists of the SR420 receiver, PT420 handheld transmitter and microphone.
The HT420 microphone is equipped with a D5 dynamic capsule with supercardioid characteristic, which perfectly isolates unwanted ambient sounds and picks up only the sound source that is directed at the microphone head. This also makes it well able to withstand feedback. The microphone is powered by an AA battery, and the manufacturer claims a battery life of up to eight hours.
The SR420 stationary receiver offers eight channels and is equipped with detachable antennas, allowing the connection of professional accessories (antenna splitters, directional antennas for multi-channel systems, etc.). System status and audio transmission are indicated by LEDs (Clip, RF) and a numeric display. The receiver is equipped with symmetrical XLR and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack outputs.
