Aer Domino 3

Domino 3 is a combo for acoustic instruments from the renowned German brand AER. Compared to the Compact series it has more power, volume and number of channels. Its sound character completely honours the sound of the instrument being recorded, i.e. it is neutral and transparent, not emphasizing certain frequencies. It gets along equally well with piezoelectric pickups, magnetic pickups and microphones. It is thus perfectly suited for larger clubs and concert halls.

The power of the combo is provided by two AER Compact amplifiers with a total output of 200 watts (2x 100). The unit has four identical channels with combined XLR/jack and jack inputs. The combined input allows the connection of a microphone or another acoustic instrument. Each channel is equipped with a three-band EQ and an Eff Send control, which determines the ratio of clean signal to effect distortion. The Colour button is used to further modify the sound.

The combo includes a built-in digital effects processor. It offers sixteen different types of effects based on reverb, delay, chorus and ambience effects. Two rotary knobs common to 1/2 and 3/4 channels are used to control them, while the Eff Level potentiometer determines the intensity of the effect distortion. Of course, external pedal effects can also be connected to the combo via an effects loop. This gives you plenty of options to enhance the sound of an acoustic instrument or vocals and add another sonic dimension.

On the rear panel, the combo offers two effect loop inputs/outputs and outputs for footswitch, tuner or headphones. A symmetrical DI output sends the signal from the combo directly to a mixing desk or recording device. Two stereo L/R outputs allow you to connect active external speakers to the combo, the output signal level is adjusted by the Pre Master control independent of the combo's overall volume setting (Master Volume). The two Insert jacks can be used as additional line in/out or to connect the combo to AER instruments equipped with Insert jacks. The aux in stereo input connects a CD/Mp3 player or other audio source to the combo. This way you can support your performance with background music. The combo also offers the option of phantom power, with a standard power supply using a EURO mains cable.

The cabinet of the combo is made of fifteen millimeter wide Finnish birch plywood. At the heart of the cabinet are two eight-inch double-diaphragm speakers. All AER combos come with a padded case.
