Aer Compact 80 Pro

The Compact 80 is another in the line of top acoustic combos from the renowned German company AER. Despite its compact shape and lighter weight, it possesses power and dynamics of sound that will be hard to find competition.

It is a four-channel combo with separate XLR/jack 6.3 mm TRS combo inputs, which allow the connection of acoustic instruments and microphones, including condenser ones (phantom power option, 9V/48V switches). Input signal sensitivity can be adjusted using the Gain controls, while the character of the sound can be adjusted using the three-band (channels 1 and 3) and two-band (channels 2 and 4) EQs, complete with Colour buttons.

The two built-in digital effects processors offer two types of reverb effect (short, long) and delay (320ms delay time) and chorus effects, where you can adjust the effect's intensity and use the Pan control to spread them between channels 1+2 and 3+4. The combo's parallel effects loop integrates your own external pedal effects.

On the rear panel of the combo, in addition to the aforementioned effects loop, you'll find two Aux In inputs for connecting external audio/mp3 devices with an Aux Level control for adjusting the volume level, a headphone output (6.3 mm jack), stereo line outputs (post master, EQ and effects), a tuner output (remains active even when the Mute function is activated) and two footswitch inputs (not included, amp mute, internal and external effects mute functions). Two symmetrical DI outputs (with pre fx/post fx signal settings) send the signal from the combo directly to a mixer or recording device. Via the Couple In connector, you can connect the combo to another device via XLR cable (DI-Out - Couple In) and use the Compact 80 as a monitor. In the case of two Compact 80 combos, the instruments can be connected bidirectionally.

The cabinet of the combo is made of twelve millimeter thick birch plywood. Its body houses an eight-inch custom dual cone full range speaker. All AER combos come with a padded case. A EURO power cord is used for standard power supply.
