AER Alpha Plus is a practical combo for acoustic instruments from the renowned German brand AER. Compared to the basic Alpha model, it offers higher performance. Its qualities will certainly be appreciated by singers/composers who require top-quality sound reproduction of acoustic instruments and vocals, but don't want to lug around heavy instruments. Despite its compact shape and lighter weight, it has surprisingly high power handling and great sound dynamics. In this case, the price really does match the performance.
It is a single-channel combo with two instrument inputs (combined XLR/jack and jack). The input signal sensitivity can be adjusted via the high/low button/attenuator. A three-band EQ and a colour button are used to control the sound. You can enhance the acoustic sound of the instrument with the integrated digital reverb effect to add another dimension to the tone.
On the rear panel, the combo offers an effects loop input/output and outputs for footswitch, tuner or headphones. A symmetrical DI output sends the signal from the combo directly to a mixing desk or recording device. The combo also offers the option of phantom power. A EURO power cord is used for standard power supply.
The cabinet of the combo is made of twelve millimeter wide birch plywood. Its body houses an eight-inch double-diaphragm speaker. All AER combos come with a padded case.
