ADAM AUDIO S3V

The S3V is ADAM Audio's new three-band studio monitor with vertical design. It is designed primarily as a midfield, but can also be used in smaller rooms.

The low frequencies are handled by a new Extended Linear Excursion (ELE LF) driver, which also features a breakthrough Symmetrical Magnet Assembly (SMA) magnet. It delivers unusually accurate and specific low frequencies with a pleasing sub-bass finish. The midrange and upper frequencies are delivered with analytical precision by the combination of two brand new technologies: a 4'' midrange DCH driver and an incredibly subtle S-ART tweeter. Both are housed in a breakthrough HPS soundboard and as a result we see an incredibly wide reference point, breathtaking high frequency reproduction and natural depth.

The integrated DSP optimizes the frequency division and produces a linear response throughout the entire range. It also delivers a user-configurable parametric equalizer and spatial adjustments (tuning and voicing functions). The DSP also provides tweeter protection and limiting, signal processing from the AES3 digital input, and allows for additional speaker expansion options. Software updates are performed via the integrated USB port, through which DSP parameters can be controlled via a software control panel running on your personal computer.

The S3V's built-in amplifiers offer a wealth of power for all components used. The midrange and woofer drivers are powered by two Class D amplifiers (500 and 300 W RMS), while the tweeter has its own 50 W Class A/B amplifier.
