ADAM AUDIO S3H

The S3H draws on the legacy of the popular S3A and S3X-H studio monitors, with a host of technological innovations, a new design and a worthy successor to its predecessors.

Each of the two 7'' woofers is powered by its own 500W Class D amplifier. The result is impressive low frequency reproduction, reaching up to the magical 32 Hz limit. The newly developed 4'' DCH midrange driver takes advantage of both dome/cone designs thanks to its hybrid design. It is also powered by its own 300 W digital amplifier and covers frequencies from 250 Hz to 3 kHz.

The S-ART tweeter, still hand-built in the ADAM Audio factory in Berlin, is housed in a precision HPS waveguide and is woken to action by a 50 W A/B amplifier.

The resulting transparent three-band sonic environment is characterised by an extensive reference point with excellent sonic properties.

The S-Series also delivers a tailored DSP optimizing the speaker's frequency division and with it impeccable linear response across the entire frequency range. Unique features also include an equalization preset emulating the response of the legendary S3A. The DSP simultaneously allows for custom equalizer settings and spatial configuration, and is also in charge of tweeter protection with a limiter, AES3 digital input processing, and further planned expandability options. There is also a USB port on the rear panel for software updates and for controlling the DSP with a computer editor. With unusually powerful amplifiers and a three-band concept (horizontal applications), the S3H is in the midfield monitor category, but can also be used in smaller rooms.

The S3H is characterized by high SPL but at the same time with crystal clear sound that retains the musical character of the midrange, high headroom and consistency even during long hours in the studio.
