Neural DSP Nano Cortex

Amp modeler/multi-effect for electric guitar and bass guitar Neural DSP Nano Cortex offers a complete guitar/bass rig in a pedal effect body, i.e. amplifier, speaker box and pedal effects, which it can fully replace. With studio quality sound (24-bit, 48kHz), a sophisticated signal chain and revolutionary Neural Capture technology, it can meet all your demands on stage and in the studio.

The Neural DSP Nano Cortex allows you to easily create digital replicas of your favourite instruments, speakers and pedal effects in top quality, i.e. the same resolution as the well-known Quad Cortex amp modeler/multi-effect. Up to 256 sound profiles (Neural Captures) can be saved, 25 guitar and bass profiles are already pre-recorded from the factory. At the same time you get access to thousands of sound profiles from the Cortex Cloud. As an IR Loader, it already offers ten premium quality IRs from the factory. For each IR, you can choose from five virtual microphones and six microphone positions. In addition, you can record up to 256 custom IRs.

The Nano Cortex contains a fixed signal chain with seven blocks, two of which are pre-FX (Adaptive Gate - noise gate, Transpose - change instrument tuning without audible latency) with three post-FX (Chorus - Boss DC-2W emulation, Analog Delay - BBD style echo, Mind Hall Reverb - Lexicon 224 digital reverb emulation). The remaining two blocks are the aforementioned Neural Capture and IR Loader. Any of the blocks can be bypassed depending on your setup.

You can wirelessly download sound profiles via Bluetooth, control parameters, manage presets and update firmware via the Cortex Cloud app. The Nano Cortex also offers 64 preset slots, a built-in tuner, flexible I/O (two stereo outputs, TRS EXP/MIDI input for connecting expression pedals and MIDI controllers, USB-C interface for recording to your DAW, or can be used to power the Nano Cortex, headphone output with volume control), and an intuitive user interface with two footswitches that function both as standard switches (toggling between presets and effect blocks) and as rotary controls (flipping between IR and Neural Captures).

A 9-12V adapter (center negative, min 600 mA) is required to power the Neural DSP Nano Cortex, or it can be powered via USB-C (5V, min 1.5A). A USB-C cable is included.
