Classical Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN269447
The Taylor 214ce-N is a classical electroacoustic guitar with Taylor's original Grand Auditorium body design that will delight musicians looking for a less traditional instrument with the sonic character of classical guitars, the playability of acoustics, and the ease of voicing.
The front of the guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from laminated walnut. Glued to the mahogany neck is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets and positional imitation mother-of-pearl dots. A subtle rounded lower body cutaway (Venetian Cutaway) facilitates touch-up at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
The sound is captured by a sub-coil piezo pickup and a preamp with a two-band equalizer and volume control. The strings are mounted in classic open drive through the TusQ zero fret. The styling is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a rosette consisting of three rings, bright body binding and the company logo on the headstock.
The guitar comes in a high quality gig bag.
The American company Taylor is famous for producing acoustic guitars that are very well crafted and offer a superior sound. The 200 series instruments are manufactured in the Tecate, Mexico factory, but this does not detract from the quality. Tecate is only a few dozen kilometres away from EL Cajon in California, so production is properly controlled.
