The Laney IRF-DUALTOP is a two-channel transistor amplifier from the Ironheart Foundry series that reproduces the characteristics of Ironheart tube amplifiers, but brings them to life in a new ultra-compact form without compromising their incredible power and versatility. With 60 watts of power (switchable to 1W) and two channels of Clean and Lead, the unit offers beautifully clean sound and proper heavy distortion.
The uncluttered control panel offers a separate volume and gain control section for each of the two channels, a three-band EQ, an integrated spring-based Reverb algorithm and switchable Boost. In addition, both channels feature a three-position mod switch that can be used to dramatically influence the character of the sound. The Clean channel offers a spectrum of sounds from a clean signal with low compression to an aggressive distorted tone. The Lead channel, on the other hand, features three EQ voicings - use Bright to accentuate the highs, Flat to offer a linear response and Dark to accentuate the bass frequencies. If all that wasn't enough, with the switchable Boost you get even more brilliance and massive distortion from the amp!
The rear panel offers an XLR DI output with switchable speaker simulation for direct connection to a soundcard or PA system. With a simple toggle switch, you can either turn the simulation off or choose between two speakers, either with one 12W speaker or four 12W speakers. On the rear panel you'll also find a headphone output for quiet home practice, an Aux in for playing backing tracks and a transformer-isolated effects loop for integrating your favourite pedal effects. There's also a footswitch input (not included) for controlling the Boost function and an output to an external speaker box with an impedance of 8-16 ohms. A power adapter is included.
