The 70th Anniversary Stratocaster Collection celebrates 70 years of the timeless design and sound of Fender Stratocaster electric guitars. Models in this series are available in limited numbers.
The 70th Anniversary Ultra Stratocaster HSS Amethyst electric guitar offers the great playing characteristics of the American Ultra series - an ergonomically shaped alder body, new "Modern D" maple neck profile, rounded fingerboard edges and a beveled neck foot for better fit. The fingerboard radius (10" - 14") flattens towards the body, offering an ideal platform for both chord playing and fast shred solos.
The combination of a 70th Anniversary Ultra Quadra Tap humbucker and two 70th Anniversary Ultra Noiseless single-coil pickups gives the guitar a wide range of sounds (from vintage to properly rock distorted) that are free of annoying hum thanks to Noiseless technology. Volume and tone controls and a five-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. Modern touches are provided by two S-1 switches (on the volume control and the first tone control), which change the full humbucker sound to a clean articulate single-coil tone (Volume, coil-split), or activate "Hot Voicing" (Tone1).
Tuning stability is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings via the bone zero fret in the locking mechanisms (Deluxe Cast/Sealed Locking) and in the synchronized tremolo with two-point attachment. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by a flashy gloss finish body and black three-ply pickguard.
