The BT1e electroacoustic guitar from Taylor is a part of the Baby Taylor compact guitar line. It is a guitar in 3/4 size of standard Dreadnought models, which will surely please players of smaller build and younger years.
The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated walnut. Glued to the maple neck is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets and positional dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret string attachment in Taylor chrome die-cast mechanics and an ebony fingerboard. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a simple rosette and veneer on the copafera wood headstock decorated with the company logo.
The guitar's sound is provided by an ES-B (Expression System Baby) preamp installed in the back of the instrument, which is based on the ES-2 system developed by Taylor, a unique way of sensing sound using three piezo pickups placed behind the neck. The preamp features a clear LED display, volume control, three-band EQ and built-in chromatic tuner.
The instrument comes in a gig bag.
