The USA Casino Vintage Burst model from the USA Epiphone Collection line features a narrow bellows body made from three layers of maple and poplar. The top of the instrument is adorned with a glossy nitrocellulose lacquer and Vintage Burst finish. Glued to the mahogany neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Acrylic Parallelogram).
Two single-coil P-90 PRO pickups in a "Dogear" design with Alnico V magnets give the guitar the sonic versatility to excel in genres such as country, jazz, pop and classic rock. Two volume potentiometers, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. The strings are mounted in Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuning machines and through the ABR-1 bridge in a Thinline Trapeze. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the cream body binding, nickel hardware and three-layer pickguard.
Epiphone Casino is one of the most famous brass guitars to come out of the Epiphone workshops. Although originally just a copy of the Gibson ES-330, Casinos have gained fame around the world for their quality and perfect sound, even appearing in the hands of musicians such as John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Noel Gallagher.
