Boss RV-200

The pedal effects of the Japanese brand Boss 200 series build on the success of the larger models with the 500 label, whose qualities are translated into a smaller, more pedalboard-friendly format. All effects in the series offer top-notch sound thanks to 32-bit/96kHz converters.

The Boss RV-200 is a flexible pedalboard effect with twelve reverb types/modes - from essential types like Room or Hall to more expressive reverbs like Shimmer, Slowverb or the all-new Arpverb algorithm. Simply choose the one that stands out in a given song or musical style from a wide range of ambient sound colors.

Like all Boss pedals in the 200 series, the RV-200 offers clear, intuitive controls where, in addition to basic parameters such as reverb effect length/duration, intensity and pre-delay, you can also work with the reverb signal EQ (high and low filters), the Density control and the Param knob, whose function depends on the type of effect. You can save your favourite settings in 127 memories. You can scroll through the presets/memories using the second multi-function footswitch, which also offers a Hold function, where the reverb effect reverberates for as long as the switch is held down, and the expressive Warp, Twist and Fade effects.

A host of control options via external footswitches, expression pedal or MIDI controllers ensure the RV-200 integrates seamlessly into any guitar rig. Multiple Boss pedals from the 200 series can be connected via MIDI to simultaneously control various parameters. A micro USB interface is used for software updates.

The box, like all pedals in current Boss production, operates in Buffered Bypass mode. Power is supplied by a 9V adapter (not included) or three AA batteries.
