Allen & Heath's new CQ Series introduces three compact digital mixers for musicians, bands, engineers, producers and anyone who demands ease of use and flexible workflow from a mixer. These are full-featured mixers with excellent sound quality (96 kHz sample rate) and advanced tools that will make you mix smarter, sound better and work faster, no matter how much previous experience you have.
The CQ-18T Mixpult features 16 mic/line inputs (8x XLR, 8x XLR/TRS combo) and one TRS stereo input, two assignable headphone outputs, two XLR main outputs and six TRS outputs for mix monitoring. Input channels can be switched between two modes, a Quick channel with an optimized set of controls and control via a single rotary knob/knob, and a "Complete" channel allowing advanced parameter editing. A number of useful features help with mixing and adjusting the signal - Gain Assistant automatically sets the preamp to the optimum gain level and monitors and adjusts any unexpected signal peaks, Feedback Assistant uses sixteen filters on each output to identify and eliminate problematic frequencies, and Automatic Microphone Mix (AMM) improves the intelligibility of spoken word/song by reducing ambient noise.
The CQ-18T also offers four effects units (reverb, delay, modulation), USB interface for multi-channel recording, playback and streaming from a DAW, multi-channel recording and playback via SD card, stereo recording and playback via external USB drive, stereo playback via Bluetooth, dual Footswitch connectors, integrated dual-band Wi-Fi interface, seven-inch touchscreen display and three rotary controls (Custom Rotaries) and SoftKeys for easy access to commonly used functions.
Two free apps developed for the CQ Series allow you to remotely control your mix from anywhere (CQ-MixPad) or control your personal monitoring path (CQ4You).
