American Martin electroacoustic guitars from the Road Series series are fully professional level instruments made for frequent gigging, where you won't be scared off by a small scratch due to the more affordable price. You'll recognize the guitars by their hand-selected exotic woods combined with modern elements in the form of renewable components, composite materials and Fishman MX-T electronics with a tuner in the soundhole with auto-mute function for silent tuning (some models are equipped with L.R. Baggs Element electronics). Road Series instruments are made in Mexico.

The Martin SC-10E-02 electroacoustic guitar is a modern instrument with a new, guitar-friendly and comfortable asymmetrical body shape and excellent fingerboard along the entire length of the neck (patented Sure Align system). The body of the instrument is made of sapele, a wood related in properties, appearance and botanical characteristics to mahogany (often referred to as "sapele mahogany"). To the Select Hardwood neck, non-standardly attached to the body at the thirteenth fret, is glued a fingerboard made of the modern composite material richlite, fitted with twenty frets. The playing and acoustic properties of the guitar are enhanced by an ergonomically shaped neck foot and a special reduced X-type ribbing (Tone Tension X Brace).

The strings are anchored in chrome tuning machines and a richlite headstock. A compensated TusQ composite saddle seated on the headstock provides the strings, along with a Corian fret, with excellent resonance and sustain. The stylish finish is accentuated by the satin finish on the body, the white position dots on the mother-of-pearl fingerboard and the rosewood headstock fretboard.

The guitar's sound system is provided by Fishman MX-T electronics with a tuner in the soundhole with auto-mute function for silent tuning. The instrument comes in a soft-shell case.

The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and technology.
