The warm, organic sound of the analogue BBD delay effects is without question a timeless affair, and one that is sure to last for decades to come. The Strymon Brig pedal effect offers all the features and characteristics of BBD chips, to which it adds greater flexibility and options for today's musicians. In other words, this is no museum piece.
The pedal effect works with three different voicings based on different types of BBD circuits. So you can conjure up everything from harsh-sounding repeats and sci-fi effects to subtle dreamy sonic waves that you can let yourself ride like a wave. You can further enhance the sound with warm modulation where, in the shortest delay effect settings, the box also works as a chorus effect.
The Strymon pedal effects come standard with stereo I/O (Mono In/Mono Out, Mono In/Stereo Out, Stereo In/Stereo Out), MIDI implementation and 300 presets controllable from a MIDI controller or DAW via EXP/MIDI or USB-C, and superior sound quality thanks to a high impedance, ultra-low noise Class A JFET preamp input and 24-bit 96kHz A/D and D/A converters. Wiring can be selected between true bypass and buffered bypass. A 9V DC center negative adapter (250mA minimum) is required to power the effect.
