The Focusrite RedNet D16R MkII is a 16-channel bi-directional digital interface for Dante networks with individual input and output channel level controls that allow precise calibration and control of all input and output levels using RedNet Control. The interface also features power and Ethernet redundancy with automatic failover, making it the ideal choice for ensuring maximum quality and stability in many path-critical applications, whether in post-production, broadcast, live sound reinforcement or in the recording studio.
With a variety of connection options, the RedNet D16R MK2 is a flexible addition to any Audio-over-IP system. A pair of DB25 multi-connectors connect each of the eight channels of AES3 I/O to or from the interface, while XLR and RCA ports allow dual-channel AES3 and S/PDIF connections respectively. DARS signals are received on the XLR connector. Word Clock inputs and outputs on the BNC connectors allow synchronization to an external clock or synchronization of the device to a Dante network.
