Marcus Miller, world renowned jazz musician, composer, producer, and most importantly bassist joined forces with Sire and over the course of several years created a groundbreaking bass concept that is now making its way to our shores. What's groundbreaking about this collaboration is not just the bass itself, but also includes components such as development, production and distribution, all set up to make the price of this exceptional instrument accessible to all.
The bass is based on the Precision Bass type and is further enriched with Miller's own features. The North American alder body is more often seen on instruments up to three times more expensive, but this is also part of the aforementioned concept. The wood has a typical full sound with strong mids. A maple neck is bolted to the body in a special "roasted" finish that gives the wood the sound characteristics of time-honored vintage instruments, plus a stylish look. Another special feature is the bone fretboard, for example, or the rounded edges of the fingerboard, which are usually only found on instruments with a much higher price tag and which make the playing experience even more enjoyable.
A special split-coil humbucker pickup with a stronger output signal ensures a great sound, giving the instrument a really thick and predatory sound. This is complemented by simple passive electronics that allow you to control the volume and tone shutter.
