Modulation effect pedal SCF GOLD from Danish company TC electronic is a remastered version of the brand's debut effect - Stereo Chorus Flanger (SCF) from 1976. At its core is a fully analog circuit that exactly replicates the original model, so you can enjoy the familiar sounds of this famous pedal. The three modulation modes Chorus, Flanger and Pitch Modulation remain the same as in the 1970s, and the same goes for the intuitive control panel.
Of course, TC electronic is moving with the times, so the new version of the SCF also brings a few updates. The permanently built-in transformer has been replaced with a traditional 9V adapter connector. The analogue preamp circuit has been improved to offer more headroom, warmer bass, huge dynamic range and adjustable input gain, allowing you to use the effect with any instrument. Last but not least, the noise has been kept to a minimum, creating a pedal that beats the original version in terms of quietness, even though the 1976 SCF had already earned the nickname "The Sound of Silence" in its day thanks to its low noise level.
The new model remains true to tradition, but looks to the future. It's a piece of history in a new coat, a pedal that lets you lose yourself in the magical swirl and oscillation of Chorus, Flanger and Pitch modulation that launched TC electronic's stardom in the 1970s. The box allows stereo connection and requires a 9V adapter (not included) to power it.
