The awesome ambient reverb is accompanied by the switchable Ensemble engine, which creates harmonic accompaniments in the form of pad sounds based on the notes/chords and dynamics being played - organically underscoring your playing (the underscore is more subtle or more pronounced depending on the switch setting). The Decay knob not only determines the length of the reverb effect's reverberation, but by changing the settings it significantly alters its overall character, the Pre-Delay knob allows you to create space between the clean signal and the reverb and, by turning the knob to the right, create impressive swell and bloom effects, further modulation of the signal is provided by the Mod knob (by modulating the reverb signal's reverb). The remaining Mix and Tone knobs determine the dry/wet ratio of the signal and the amount of treble, i.e. Tone functions as a high-cut.
Standard on Strymon pedal effects are stereo I/O (Mono In/Mono Out, Mono In/Stereo Out, Stereo In/Stereo Out), MIDI implementation and 300 presets controllable from a MIDI controller or DAW via EXP/MIDI or USB-C, and superior sound quality thanks to a high-impedance, ultra-low-noise Class A JFET preamp input and 24-bit 96kHz A/D and D/A converters. Wiring can be selected between true bypass and buffered bypass. A 9V DC center negative adapter (250mA minimum) is required to power the effect.
