The Behringer 960 SEQUENTIAL CONTROLLER is a faithful reproduction of the legendary analogue Coke sequencer in Eurorack format.
Modular synthesis The first System 55, 35 and 15 synthesizer modules appeared in the early 1970s and were usually very expensive. All were mostly discrete transistor designs, as op-amp circuits were very expensive at the time. The discrete circuits gave the modules a very distinctive sound and were used by artists such as Keith Emerson, Stevie Wonder, Tangerine Dream and many others, resulting in some of the best recordings we have ever heard.
960 Sequencer Controller Behringer delivers authentic reproduction of the "Modular 55" series circuits used by the world's most famous pop, rock and jazz musicians. Now you can build your own unique synthesizer that fits into a standard Eurorack at a very affordable price. Combine specific modules to tailor your synth to the genre of music you play. Or go all out and have a room filled from floor to ceiling with modules that will fulfill even the wildest dreams of any synth geek.
Step Sequencer The 960 SEQUENCER CONTROLLER is an 8 step sequencer with 3 rows of CV controls for adjusting the pitch of the signal in a given step. An additional 9th step can be used to stop the sequence. Connecting the Behringer 962 SEQUENTIAL SWITCH transforms the 960 from an 8-step sequencer into a 24-step giant capable of creating the most complex sequences and beats.
Set the scene Multiple sequence variations can be achieved by switching any of the desired Stage Mode switches to Normal, which allows you to continue the current stage to the next, Skip, which allows you to bypass the stage, or Stop, which freezes the sequence. You can even start each stage manually by pressing the appropriate Set button. Create an eight-stage sequence, then set the sequencer to skip every other stage to have a staccato rhythm and add variety to the song.
Oscillator The Model 960 also features an oscillator, where you can adjust the range or pitch of the tone using the Frequency Range potentiometer and fine-tune it using the Frequency Vernier potentiometer. You can also manually start or stop the oscillator using the on/off buttons or connect an external gate signal to control the on/off status. There is also a control input to connect another module to adjust the oscillator frequency and extend its flexibility.
Ready for Eurorack Installation of the 960 SEQUENCER CONTROLLER is simple as it has been designed to fit into a standard Eurorack enclosure. Simply connect the power cables to the power supply and mount the module using the included screws. This allows the 960 SEQUENCER CONTROLLER to be combined with other synth modules to create a truly unique setup.
