Few people today may know that Vox, or rather Jennings Musical Instruments, was one of the pioneers in terms of building wah-wah guitar effects. The first prototypes were created in the 60s, the reason for their creation was simple - to offer guitarists sonic possibilities similar to the damping known from wind instruments. The result of the development was the legendary Vox Wah-Wah, which within a short time found a very wide range of fans.
Today Vox offers us its reincarnation - the V 845 version, which has the same electronic "guts", the only new feature is a very useful input for a power adapter, which frees guitarists from the not always very reliable battery power. Another "upgrade" consists in the inclusion of a buffer on the input, which allows the signal to pass through the effect in the off state completely unchanged. The electronics of the Vox V 847 differ from other contemporary wahs in that it has undergone a redesign to best replicate the electronics, and therefore the sound, of the wahs of the 1960s.
This "quacker" is therefore the perfect piece of gear for any guitarist who wants to get the same sound out of their wah-wah pedal that almost defined music in the 60s, but it will also serve musicians with more modern tastes perfectly. The sound of the V 845 is simply a timeless effect whose qualities will be appreciated by everyone.
