DUNLOP MXR BASS COMPRESSOR
The Bass Compressor is a bass guitar effect of the compressor type, and therefore used to work with the dynamics of your signal. Built with the finest materials, it combines modern and traditional technology to offer greater dynamic range, transparency and musicality. Plus, it sounds great not only with bass, but with guitar as well.
Its fully analogue electronics are concealed in a solid metal chassis, from which a high-quality 3PDT footswitch, five potentiometers and input and output jacks emerge. The Bass Compressor is, of course, True-Bypass, so it doesn't affect your sound in any way when switched off. Power is provided by a 9 volt battery or adapter.
You'll use the five controls to set it up. First, Input sets the appropriate signal level at the input, Attack determines the correct pitch and Release its decay, and the Ratio switch toggles between 4 types of compression ratio. Finally, Output determines the output volume. The big advantage is that the compression can be monitored with 10 signal LEDs, which makes setting up the pedal much easier.
