The single-cut Gretsch G5230T-140 EMTC 140TH JET FT from the Electromatic series is part of the special 140th Anniversary edition launched to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the brand's founding (1883). The guitar's chambered mahogany body is adorned with an arched maple top. The mahogany neck with a Thin U profile is glued to a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Neo-Classic Thumbnail).
Two FT-5E Filter'Tron humbuckers give the guitar a full, punchy sound with excellent articulation of individual notes and chords. Adjust its character with two volume potentiometers (for each pickup separately), a tone shutter and an overall volume control with Treble Bleed circuit (allows you to pull down the Master Volume without boosting the bass frequencies).
Strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and through the Adjusto-Matic tailpiece in a Bigsby tremolo. The stylish design of the instrument is accentuated by a spectacular 2-Tone Stone Platinum over Pearl Platinum finish, chrome hardware and a Silver Plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo.
