The famous versatile Boss Slicer modulation effect returns in the form of the compact Boss SL-2 Slicer stompbox. Different rhythmically and dynamically defined Slicer effect repeats give your guitar, bass or keys a great groove.
The Boss SL-2 Slicer houses 88 different Slicer effect patterns in a compact chassis and many more in the BOSS Tone Studio app (macOS/Windows, USB connection). The sounds are stored in eight banks (Single, Dual, Tremolo, Harmonic, SFX), each of which has eleven different patters.
The Attack and Duty controls adjust the character of the effect modulation (level of pick attack/key stroke, sound curve), the Tempo potentiometer determines the speed of the effect modulation (in Tap Tempo mode the output volume on a scale of +/-12dB), Balance determines the dry/wet signal ratio. The footswitch controls the on/off switching of the effect and the Tap Tempo function.
Optional mono and stereo wiring on the pedal effect input and output ensures easy integration of the Boss SL-2 Slice box into any guitar rig. Within the stereo outputs, you can choose from seven mods (Fixed, EFX/Direct, Random, Ping-Pong, Auto, 3D Cross and 3D Rotation). There's also a TRS MIDI input for MIDI clock sync and CC control, and an expression pedal/footswitch jack for real-time parameter adjustment.
The box is wired as Buffered Bypass as standard. A Boss PSA 9V Adapter or 9V battery is required for power.
