ZOOM H2n (opened)

The ZOOM H2n is the only portable recorder that uses five built-in microphones and four different recording mods/configurations. The first two microphones offer directional cardioid X/Y pickup, the other three mid-side pickups with one directional and two bi-directional side mics. The X/Y and MS mics can be used separately (stereo recording), or the pickups can be combined to achieve two or four channel surround sound.

Whatever you need to record, you'll always be able to rely on perfect recording quality (audio stored at up to 96 kHz/24-bit in WAV or MP3 format at up to 320 kps bitrate). The entire 360st space can be captured at 48 kHz/24-bit, allowing the recording to be converted to 5.1 surround format. Other features and pluses of the recorder include built-in effects (low cut filtering, compressor, limiter), a clear LCD-Display, stereo mic/line line input, stereo line/headphone output, chromatic tuner, metronome and USB interface for direct connection and recording to a DAW. In addition, an integrated speaker allows instant playback and control of recordings.

The Zoom H2n can be powered for up to 20 hours using two AA batteries or unlimited power via an adapter. Data is stored on SD, SDHC, SDXC cards (up to 32 GB). In addition to the recorder, the package includes a user manual, two AA batteries, and download licenses for Cubase LE and WaveLab LE software. Power supply is possible using the two included AA batteries or, for example, the Zoom AD-17 adapter (not included).
