You'll always recognize Ovation acoustic guitars at first sight. They have a typically arched body made of a special Lyrachord material, which is very durable and gives the guitar sufficient volume. Thanks to the ergonomic body, the guitar also fits well in your hand.
The front plate of the CELEBRITY ELITE CE-48-1 SUPER SHALLOW-CUTAWAY is made of solid Sitka spruce. The resonance of the top is enhanced by the placement and shape of the laser-cut soundholes and the reduced X-type ribbing of the front plate. The rest of the cabinet is made up of an arched, narrow body (Super Shallow) made of hi-tech Lyrachord material.
Another interesting feature is the bevelled fingerboard design, which offers seventeen frets on the thickest bass string, while six more frets are available on the thinnest string. The strings themselves are mounted in an ovangkol fingerboard and enclosed in the company's die-cast mechanicals. The instrument's stylish design is accentuated by the decorative soundhole tabs on the soundboard, the sunburst finish of the top, and the black body surround.
