The Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster All-Mahogany Bourbon Burst brings together the worlds of electric and acoustic instruments and proves that Fender doesn't have to look back to its glorious past. The guitar is made in Corona, California (USA), and the craftsmanship is top-notch to match.

At first glance, the Acoustasonic already catches the eye with its cool design and playing characteristics derived from both Telecaster-type electric guitars and acoustic instruments (contoured armrest). The narrow bellows body offers the natural volume and resonance of acoustic guitars. It will play well "unplugged" in your living room, however, the real advantages of this guitar come from amplification.

The sound is captured by three pickups. The Noiseless magnetic single-coil gives you the authentic tone of Fender electric guitars, without the typical single-coil hum. The world of electro-acoustic guitars is represented by a sub-coil piezo pickup and a sensor located in the body of the guitar, both by Fishman. That in itself is pretty nice, but Acoustasonic can do more.

The Acoustic Engine technology offers simulations of eight acoustic guitars of different shapes, bodies and woods, and two electric guitars in Clean and Fat/Semi-Clean Electric settings. You can switch between the sounds with a five-position switch and a Mode dial, which also lets you set the A/B voicing mix. So you don't have to wonder whether you should bring a bigger Dreadnought or a smaller-bodied guitar to a gig, whether rosewood or mahogany would be better, and finally whether you'd like the sound of a Telecaster too - the Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster offers it all in one compact body.

The system is powered by a li-ion battery. A USB port at the jack input is used for recharging, after a 4-5 hour recharge the battery is able to power the system for approximately twenty hours. It is possible to play and recharge at the same time. A low battery level is indicated by a red flashing LED, at higher charge levels the LED indication does not light up. The manufacturer recommends using power adapters with a minimum output of 1000 mA (1A).

The guitar is supplied in a case (1225 Deluxe Gig Bag).
