Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN244268
The Martin Shawn Mendes 000JR-10E electroacoustic guitar is made entirely from FSC-certified materials, i.e. the wood used comes from areas where environmentally friendly forestry takes place. This is a more affordable signature model from the popular Canadian artist, with a smaller 000 Junior body and shorter brass - so it will suit players of all sizes and levels of ability.
The front of the guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from solid sapele. The good acoustic properties of the guitar are accentuated by the reduced X-ribs (Scalloped X-Brace) of the soundboard.
The sipo/utile neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard with 20 frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative position markers and white side dots. The strings are mounted in the company's chrome-plated mechanics and ebony fingerboard over the TusQ zero and compensated frets. The fine workmanship is accentuated by the artist's signature inlay on the third fret of the fingerboard, woodcut swallows on the headstock, black perimeter body binding, mother-of-pearl (MOP) rosette, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, and a sapele headstock slice adorned with the Martin logo.
The sound system features Fishman Sonitone active electronics with controls in the guitar's soundhole. The instrument comes in a gig bag made of 100% recycled polyester.
The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and manufacturing technology. However, to use only the past tense would be a great mistake; instruments with the Martin logo are still today among the guarantees of the highest quality in craftsmanship and sound. In addition, their current products use "eco-friendly" components made from renewable resources and composite materials.
