A tool with a story! If you are a fan of the Czech concert scene, you may know the sound of this guitar from concerts not only of the band Monkey Business.
The story of Framus is quite epic and its roots are in our territory! Fred Wilfer, a native of Schönbach (now Luby in western Bohemia), organized local German-speaking guitarists and violin makers after the end of World War II and, since they would have been deported anyway, moved them together to Erlangen in Upper Franconia (hence the brand name: FRAnconian MUSICAL instruments = Framus). In the 60s, during the boom of beat music, they became the biggest guitar producers in Europe.
In 1995, the Framus brand was relaunched by the son of its founder Hans-Peter Wilfer as part of Warwick GmbH. Since then, Framus has positioned itself as a professional electric guitar made from luxury select woods and fitted with first-class hardware.
Phil Campbell of Motörhead, Phil X of Bon Jovi or William DuVall of Alice in Chains. Czech musicians include Olda Krejčoves (Monkey Business) - and it is instruments directly from his equipment that have made it into the Boutique at Kytary.cz.
Oldřich Krejčoves is photographed with this very specimen on the Framus website in the Artists section and the guitar was his long-time concert instrument. The signature given to Olds by Glenn Hughes on the side of the guitar body is a gem, it is lacquered and should "hold".
The instrument is in very good, original condition. It bears signs of use of course, such as minor scratches and scuffs or slight patina, it is perfectly functional and free of damage.
It is a used item in the BAZAAR VAT regime.
