Fender Player Series electric basses replace the popular Standard models. This is the brand's basic quality line with a clear plus in the form of price/quality ratio. Although these are not US-Made basses (they are made in Ensenada, Mexico), they are also subject to comprehensive output control.

The Player Plus Series models are then designed to be as adaptable as possible to the needs of modern players, while retaining the traditional design and features that have made Fender instruments so popular. This stylish limited edition model gives you a punchy, thick bass sound with a focused and clear treble that, combined with its fast and enjoyable playability, makes it the ideal instrument for both the studio and the stage.

The body of this Jazz Bass is made from proven alder, which combined with the maple neck and fingerboard provides a traditional feel and excellent resonance. This model is also complemented by a flamed maple top. The neck is profiled as a comfortable modern C with a satin lacquer finish and rounded edges, while a sure hand on the fingerboard is also supported by Medium Jumbo frets that are ideal for the vast majority of playing styles.

The body and neck materials are also well matched by a pair of single coil Alnico V pickups, with the crisp and clearly defined sound that makes Fender basses so popular. You can then use the volume potentiometers for each pickup or the shared tone control to control the sound.

The hardware is also of typical Fender quality, with open drive mechanisms, a synthetic bone fretboard and a solid four-stone headstock for stable tuning, which also ensures great sustain and vibration transfer to the body of the instrument.
