The Katana modeling machines from Boss have won the appreciation of many guitarists around the world for their sound and many high-quality integrated effects. Thanks to this new model, bassists can also enjoy their qualities to the fullest, and will be delighted by the huge sound possibilities and advanced features that make them easy to handle in the studio or on stage.

At the heart of this combo is a 60W amplifier, which can be attenuated to 1W if required, making it the ideal companion for home practice as well as in the studio or on smaller stages. A custom-made 10" diameter speaker, complete with a switchable tweeter, ensures great sound projection.

The amp's sonic character can be adjusted via the Type switch, which provides three different settings - Vintage (traditional warm tube amp sound with natural distortion), Flat (clean and very dynamic character) and Modern (fast response with a wide frequency range). Each of these modes can then be further adjusted using the Shape function, so you can be sure to find a truly ideal sound for any occasion.

As with the guitar models, there is a great emphasis on the effects part of the combo. The compressor/limiter and Drive functions earn their own section, which is then complemented by two effect positions where you can freely choose from over sixty effects. In addition, you'll find a Blend potentiometer on the control panel, which you can use to blend the clean signal with the processed one, or a four-band EQ that lets you choose between three bands for the two centre frequencies.

And of course, these machines come with a wide range of connectivity options. On the back, therefore, you'll find a footswitch and expression pedal input, a balanced XLR output, a headphone/recording output with three pickup simulations, an effects loop, a USB interface and a connector for Boss Bluetooth Audio Midi wireless systems.
