KURZWEIL K2700

The Kurzweil K2700 builds on the successful K2 series workstations and arrangers that made rock and pop music history. Twenty years of development have seen the new series feature expanded polyphony, over 1500 programmable sounds divided into 13 instrument categories, patented Flash-Play technology for fast sound loading, 3.5 GB of samples and high quality sounds, improved V.A.S.T. with 32 layers per program (DSP instruments with oscillators, filters and studio-quality effects) and FM synthesis (6 Operator FM), authentic analog emulations, classical organ sounds with 9 stops, a powerful FX unit with countless effects, and last but not least, the ability to model the resonance of piano strings for better acoustic piano performance.

The K2700 features an Italian Hammer-Action keyboard with 88 keys and aftertouch, which can then be divided into up to 16 independent zones (each zone supports 60 controllers). Of course, the 16-step sequencer is then enhanced with MIDI mapping, and sequences can also be loaded from a music library or memory device. You can now enrich your arrangements with a 16-tone arpeggiator that works perfectly with the step sequencer.

The control panel has also undergone a big change, it now features a touch-sensitive Ribbon controller and 16 backlit pads for drums and percussion instruments. You'll also find 9 faders and 9 knobs for parameter control, a 4.3" colour LCD display, knobs for controlling all audio categories and sequencer/player/recorder, Pitch/Mod wheels, and connectors for expression pedals.

Convenient recording is then made possible by an integrated USB sound card with two channels, phantom power and combined stereo XLR/TRS inputs. The output signal is routed via two pairs of line jacks. A power cable, USB cable and footswitch are included.
