Cort's KX series is an electric guitar with a modern design. Specifically, the KX508 eight-string with its variable (multiscale) gauge and award-winning Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers is a clear choice for players of today's harder styles - from djent to core and metal - thanks to its affordable price.
The guitar's body is made from solid okoumé and a spectacular poplar root veneer top with impressive graining accentuated by the Mariana Blue Burst finish. A five-piece maple and purpleheart fingerboard is glued to a bolted-on five-piece maple and macassar ebony neck. The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-four diagonally arranged frets (multiscale concept) and black drop-shaped position markers.
Another piece to the modern puzzle are the Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, which give you a wide range of tonal colors in complete tonal clarity without annoying accompanying noise. Both the volume and tone knob potentiometers have a Push/Pull function - so you can switch between two different pickup voicings (Volume knob) and unzip the humbucker coils for pure single-coil character (Coil-Split on the tone knob).
Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment in the locking company mechanisms and through the bridge saddles through the guitar body.
