With the Fender Squier Paranormal series, the unconventional hybrid electric guitar designs introduced by the American Parallel Universe series and the more affordable Mexican Alternate Reality series are now available to guitarists on a limited budget. The instruments in the Fender Squier Paranormal series are simply proof that even so-called "budget" guitars can look cool.

The Paranormal Offset Telecaster electric guitar combines two well-known Fender designs - the Telecaster and the Jazzmaster - in one body, with the latter adopting the sleek offset body design. The body of the guitar itself is made of poplar and the top and back veneer are made of ash. The maple fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-two Narrow Tall frets and black position dots.

The design of the two single-coil pickups with Alnico magnets and the controls clearly refer to Telecaster guitars. The strings are mounted in the company's vintage-style mechanicals and the cob with three chrome saddles and string anchoring through the body. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the black three-ply pickguard, chrome hardware and Squier logo on the headstock.
