Squier Affinity Series electric guitars represent Fender's most popular electric guitar designs at a fraction of the price of the originals. This makes them an ideal choice for aspiring guitarists and musicians who would like to get a Stratocaster, Telecaster or Jazzmaster but don't want to invest a huge amount of money in buying one.
The Affinity Telecaster offers everything you expect from an electric guitar of this type. The instrument's lightweight poplar body is adorned with the chosen colour finish and glossy polyurethane lacquer. The neck and fingerboard are made of maple. The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets and black position dots. A pleasant narrower "C" neck profile ensures comfortable movement of the hand on the fingerboard and good fingerboard feel.
Two proprietary single-coil pickups give the guitar a matching Tele "twang". The character of the sound can be shaped with the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch. The strings are anchored in the company's chrome tuning machines and through a classic "ashtray" fingerboard through the body of the guitar.
