The body of the G5622T Electromatic's semi-hollow double-cut model is made of over-ply maple and a chambered spruce center block that reinforces the guitar's soundboard. A maple neck with a Thin "U" profile is glued to a fig wood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Neo-Classical Thumbnail).
Two Black Top Broad'Tron humbuckers give the guitar a full dynamic sound with good tone articulation and a slightly higher output signal than the Filter'Tron pickups offer, i.e. they are sonically a little closer to traditional humbuckers. To adjust the sound, there are two volume potentiometers (for each pickup separately), a tone shutter, an overall volume control with Treble Bleed circuit (allowing you to pull down the Master Volume without boosting the bass frequencies) and a three-position pickup switch.
Precision tuning is guaranteed by the strings being fitted via the Graph Tech NuBone zero fret in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and via the Adjusto-Matic tailpiece in the licensed Bigsby B70 tremolo. The guitar's stylish design is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of Aged White body binding, nickel hardware and a Gold Plexi pickguard with black Gretsch corporate logo.
