The Fender Squier Contemporary Stratocaster Special HT is an affordable instrument that will please both beginners and experienced guitarists who like the now-classic shape of electric guitars while preferring a contemporary sound and modern touches.
The body of the guitar is made of poplar. The neck is made of heat-treated roasted maple and the fingerboard is made of fig tree with twenty-two jumbo frets. Playing comfort is enhanced by a flatter twelve-inch fingerboard radius, a nice narrower "C" neck profile and a rounded neck foot. The positioning dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on the fingerboard surface.
Three single-coil Squier SQR pickups with Alnico magnets, in a special configuration with the middle pickup positioned close to the fingerboard, offer a wide variety of sounds and sonic settings. Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string attachment in the Die-Cast mechanism and through the solid fingerboard through the body of the instrument. The stylish look is accentuated by details in the form of black hardware, a black three-layer pickguard or a painted headstock.
