Five-string bass guitar from Dingwall 's Combustion series in a natural finish that brings out the beautiful grain of the ash wood.
Basses from the Combustion series are completely original instruments that impress with their design and technical performance. Dingwall uses hybrid manufacturing to assemble them, so although the individual components are made in China, the final assembly of the instruments takes place in Canada, where a team of skilled engineers takes care of every detail. This allows Dingwall to offer quality custom basses at an affordable price.
The Combustion offers a lively, punchy sound with surprisingly long sustain. The body of the instrument is made of ash, the bolted neck is made of five layers of maple. This model is fitted with a pau ferro fingerboard. The three FD-3N pickups feature neodymium magnets that give them an aggressive drive. With the four-position switch, you can easily choose the pickup combination that will be most pleasing to your ear and suited to the style you are currently playing. Final adjustments to the sound are then made using the three equalization potentiometers, which allow you to accentuate the desired frequencies. The bass also offers an active and passive electronics switch, so you get the best of both worlds.
Thanks to the multiscale design, each string of the bass has a different menzurra ranging from 864 to 940 mm, ensuring their optimal tension and precise intonation. Combined with Dingwall strings, you get a totally unique, perfectly balanced sound with warm highs and punchy bass that can handle any genre and will stand out in any circumstance.
