Ibanez Soundgear Series basses have been providing players with modern alternatives to classic bass designs since 1987. The body of this bass is made of okoume. It is bolted to a maple neck fitted with a jatoba fingerboard with twenty-two frets. The gauge of the instrument is 726 mm and the width of the zero fret is 38 mm.
The sound of the strings is captured through two passive Standard single coil pickups and can be further controlled by volume potentiometers for each pickup separately and a tone shutter. The strings are mounted in a solid cob, large mechanics are used for precise tuning, and the hardware is black.
