Vintage VSA500 semi-hollowbody guitars offer quality workmanship and sound at an affordable price. Thanks to the electronics and hardware Wilkinson uses, it will not only please beginner musicians, but will also reliably meet the demands of experienced players.
The body of the VSA500MP is made of laminated maple. The mahogany neck is glued to a fingerboard made of Lignum Rosa (laminated wood), a composite material similar in properties and appearance to rosewood, fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by positional dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl, while a deeper lower body cutout provides good tracking even at higher fretboard positions.
Two Wilkinson humbuckers with chrome caps give the guitar a sound suitable for jazz and rock. Its character can be adjusted with two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. The strings are housed in Wilkinson Deluxe tuning machines with imitation ivory pegs, a solid Tune-O-Matic headstock and a stopbar. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a practical black pickguard and chrome hardware.
