The PHOENIX-1000 STBC offers an interesting offset hard & heavy body design. The body construction itself is composed of mahogany wings and a three-piece through neck made of maple with a narrower fast Thin U profile. Twenty-two Extra Jumbo size frets divide the Ebony Macassar fingerboard surface. Position blocks make it easy to navigate its surface.
Two active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets give the guitar a great dynamic sound (without any accompanying noise) with precise articulation of individual notes/chords and, if needed, a sufficient amount of punch/aggressiveness. The Push/Pull tone shutter function allows you to switch between voicings - the guitar's sonic arsenal is thus much wider than it might at first appear. A three-position pickup switch completes the controls as standard.
The strings are held in the company's quality locking mechanisms and a solid Tonepros Locking TOM and string bridge. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the See Thru Black Cherry finish and gold hardware.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company LTD was created to offer popular models in an affordable option. Even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, however, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
