This bass comes from the ESP Deluxe Series and is thus predestined for professional use not only on stage or in the studio. These newly improved B-1004 and B-1005 models have revised materials and manufacturing processes that make them great for almost any musical style and genre.
In the production of the B-1005 MS NS, a selection of swamp ash with a Bocote top was used for the body and a combination of Wenge and Purple heart woods for the neck. The fingerboard is milled from Pau Ferro wood.
These fine woods are then joined by premium hardware such as a Hipshot fingerboard, Gotoh tuning machines and last but not least, hum-cancelling Nordstrand Big Splits pickups that produce no noise wherever you are. The pickups are complemented by ABQ-3MS 3-band EQ active electronics, with which you can adjust the sound to your liking. Alternatively, it can be turned off and the pickups can be used in passive mode only.
