Fostex Company is a division of the Japanese manufacturer Foster Electric Co., Ltd., whose roots date back to 1949 and are associated with the manufacture of loudspeakers. Headquartered in the capital city of Tokyo, Fostex itself was founded in 1973 with the aim of selecting the best speakers from Foster Electric's production and distributing them directly to customers and dealers in the Japanese market.
