American Ultra is Fender's most advanced line of electric guitars and basses, satisfying even the most demanding players who require maximum precision, power and great tone.
The ash body of this Precision is covered in a gloss polyurethane lacquer. Glued to the bolted maple neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one frets and position dots. The "Modern D" neck profile, 10 - 14 inch fingerboard radius and Medium Jumbo frets guarantee players maximum comfort when using any bass guitar technique.
The combination of a Jazz Bass single coil and Ultra Series Precision Bass split pickup gives the bassist a dynamic sound suitable for producing a wide range of musical genres. The bass is equipped with active electronics with a three-band equalizer, the active circuit can be switched off using a switch to use only the volume and tone controls.
Traditional features are represented by a four-stone string attachment in the headstock, vintage Fender "F" Light-Weight tuning machines, and a three-ply pickguard headstock. The strings are Fender 7250M strings with a thickness of .045 - .105.
The bass comes in a deluxe Elite Molded Series case.
