The Gewa Novita 3.0 electric violin is an innovative musical instrument using traditional quality materials and the creative possibilities of the latest technology. It has been designed to provide the authentic feel of the weight, size and balance of a standard acoustic violin, while providing the flexibility of digital-era instruments and maximum playing comfort.
The base is a solid maple body with a spruce top, followed by a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. This traditional construction gives the player the feedback and playing feel of a classic violin, while the black satin lacquer finish lets the beautiful grain of the wood stand out. The total weight of the violin is just 550 grams.
No expense has been spared on the equipment, which comes almost entirely from Wittner - the tuning pegs, stringers, chinrest and shoulder rest of this brand are used. The Aubert branded pickup system on the neck is a piezo pickup system that comes straight from Gewa's workshops - as well as great sound, it also offers output switching between amp and headphones and a trio of potentiometers for fine-tuning the nuances of your tone. Thomastik Alphayue strings are strung, and three soft protectors are also included to make the violin fit perfectly into any Gewa case.
